Hollis Leigh is 10 months old today!
Below is her 9 month summary...
Weight: 21lb 7oz
Height:
HC:
This past month has been full of firsts! You are into EVERYTHING and keeping me on my toes!
Your top 4 teeth have finally broken through! They are still working their way completely out, but they are so CUTE! You are also cutting your lower lateral incisors...one has broken through the gum and the other isn't far behind.
I had to take Hollis back to the doctor to get your diaper rash checked out. I just had a feeling that something wasn't right (even after having it looked at at your 9 month appt), and decided to take you back in. I'm glad we went because the diaper rash had turned to a yeast infection! They prescribed Nystatin for it and we applied that 4 times a day for 10 days. It looks so much better! I've learned to always trust my Mommy gut!
You've learned to say "Puh Puh" for Paw Paw! You can also say cheese, make the N consonant, ah, and my personal favorite, MAMA!!!! You started saying Mama the weekend that your Daddy and I went on a retreat with our small group. You must have missed me!
We had our first weekend away from you this past month. You were in such great care, that we didn't have a worry in the world! MiMi, Dadoo, Aunt McKenzie and Uncle Connor all watched you on Friday, and Paw Paw watched you on Saturday and Sunday. You had the best time and I'm not sure you even realized we were gone! You gave me a huge hug when I saw you and started giggling when you saw your Daddy.
You've gotten FAST with your crawling. I have to keep all eyes on you because the second I don't you are out of site. You love chasing Maggie around the house and think it's hilarious when she finally stops and lets you pet her.
You've figured out how to climb the stairs. We now have to keep the gates closed (we usually leave them propped open so Maggie can go up and down the stairs) always! I've let you climb them with me behind you and you've made it almost to the top without stopping.
You can stand for a few seconds without holding onto anything. You've also started walking behind your walker and will often push it one handed....I think you will be walking before me know it!
Favorite toys: you are loving balls! You love putting balls into the crocodile popper and ball tower, or throwing them on the couch and watching them roll off. You still get excited when you see your baby dolls or cat stuffed animals. But really, your favorite things aren't toys...you enjoy pulling everything off the mantle, grabbing things out of the pantry, pulling plated out of the dishwasher, taking the knob (that is now securely attached) off of the dresser, lifting the rugs up and pressing the buttons on the remote control.
Aunt Katie introduced us to apple sauce squeezers and you really loved that! You inhaled some lasagna the other night. You love turnip greens, blueberries, chicken, oranges, ezekial raisin toast, and yogurt!
You clap your hands when we start singing Patty Cake! You also say "ah" when I sing "If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops,oh what a rain that would be. Standing outside with my mouth open wide...ah, ah, ah, ah". When we sing "Ride little horsey" you will fling yourself back when we get to the part "don't fall down!" You love when we sing songs with you and I love that you are singing and playing along now, it's so fun!
We dedicated your life to the Lord this past Sunday. Man, that was a special day for your Daddy and I. I will have a special post about that.
We love you so much sweet girl! You are so much fun, such a people lover and joy giver! I can't imagine life without you and I can't wait to spend my days with you!

My Loves
A couple Friday's ago we had BEAUTIFUL weather! I had Ryan meet me at the greenspace on his way home from work so I could snap some pictures of my two favorite people. I love how these pictures turned out!

Picture Post!
I have SO MANY cute pictures of Hollis, but not enough time to dedicate a post to each event. So this post will be a picture overload! I know the Grandparents (and Great Grandparents) will enjoy this post! :)
